Welcome to the Colonel William Cabell Chapter DAR
The Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) is a non-profit, non-political volunteer service organization made up of over 175,000 members with 3,000 chapters. These chapters are located in all 50 states and in many countries around the world. On October 11, 1890, eighteen women met to officially organize the NSDAR for historic, educational, and patriotic purposes. Since that day, more than 900,000 members have been admitted into membership.
The Colonel William Cabell Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, was organized in 1949 by Mrs. Charles K. Boardman with 24 charter members. Today the Colonel William Cabell Chapter is very active in its community and boasts over 100 members from Newport Beach, Costa Mesa, Huntington Beach, and many other neighboring cities.
