Since that day, more than 900,000 women have joined, representing chapters in fifty states and many countries around the world.

The Colonel William Cabell Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, was organized in 1949 by Mrs. Charles K. Boardman with 24 charter members. Today the Colonel William Cabell Chapter is very active in its community and boasts over 100 members from Newport Beach, Costa Mesa, Huntington Beach, and many other neighboring cities.
